Dawsons are leading international Valuers & Auctioneers, established in 2016. We provide professional, discrete current market valuation and sales advice for Fine Jewellery, Watches, Fine & Contemporary Art, Antiques, and family heirlooms, based from our auction logistics centre in Berkshire, our valuations office in London, and Nationwide.

With extensive industry experience, our team of experts provide a seamless service covering valuation, logistics, marketing, and sale. Dawsons’ sole focus is to achieve the highest possible sale prices for our clients, through expert evaluation and multi-channel marketing.

What you'll be doing:

• Reporting directly to the Department Head of Jewellery, Watches & Silver
• Assisting with the day to day running of the Jewellery Department
• Consigning jewellery, silver and watches for sale
• Carrying out jewellery and silver valuations
• Handling items and entering stock details on our auction operating systems
• Dealing with customer queries
• Serving clients on viewing days
• Supporting live auctions
• Working closely with our friendly team of expert Jewellery Valuers & Cataloguers
• Based in our Berkshire auction hub within a dedicated, air conditioned jewellery showroom

Your experience and required skills:

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexibility and the ability to be a team player
• Excellent time management and organisational skills 
• Auction experience preferable
• Alternatively, a keen interest in developing skills required to work within the auction world 
• FGA, equivalent professional qualifications or five plus years of experience within the jewellery industry.
• DGA preferable
• A high level of IT competence would be preferable
