Christie's will soon sell the cream of the recently-sold Surrey property on November 22 led by a George III mahogany serpentine commode (estimate: £100,000-150,000). But on October 23-25, Lawrences of Bletchingley were invited to sell the residual contents that the King Street auctioneers left behind - including this rare George III mahogany port or condiment wagon, 161/2in (42cm) long, with a carved horse head handle.
Estimated at £500-800, it sold to a London dealer on the telephone for £7800 (plus 15 per cent buyer's premium).
